Import Duty & Landed Cost Calculator
Estimate the duty, import tax, levies and total landed cost of a shipment from China into 23 destination markets, using the same duty and tax positions we publish on our route pages. Duty is assessed line by line in every one of those markets, so the calculator uses the published rate or de minimis position and lets you enter the rate that applies to your tariff line.
Enter the goods value and freight, choose the destination, and see the duty, import tax, levies and total landed cost broken out line by line. Every rate links back to the route page it came from.

Landed cost
Estimated statutory import charges.
These are the statutory charges only. Clearance, delivery and the freight rate itself come from the quotation.

The same positions the calculator uses, as published on our route pages. Where duty varies by tariff line the range is shown rather than a single figure, and the destination tariff remains the authority for your commodity.

How is the estimate built?
Duty is assessed on the customs value, which in most of these markets is the CIF value — the goods, the international freight and the insurance added together. Import tax is then charged on the duty-inclusive value in most markets, which is why a 6% duty and a 19% tax compound rather than simply adding up. Country-specific levies sit on top, and the calculator lists each one separately so you can see what a given market actually charges.
Free-trade agreement preference removes duty, not tax. A Form E under ACFTA or a Form F under the China–Chile agreement can take the duty rate to zero on qualifying goods, but VAT, GST, IGV, IVA and sales tax still apply, usually on the duty-inclusive value.
Why might you need to enter the duty rate?
Duty is assessed line by line against the destination tariff, and the rate depends on the HS code of the actual product — not on the country alone. Where a market publishes a single rate we pre-fill it; where duty varies by line we show the verified range and ask for the rate that applies to your goods. Guessing on your behalf would produce a number that looks precise and is wrong.
What does the estimate leave out?
Clearance and documentation fees, certification and conformity costs, storage and demurrage beyond free time, inland delivery, customs bond and entry fees, and any anti-dumping or trade-remedy duty. Each market's result panel names the ones that apply, so nothing is quietly missing from the figure.
How do you go from an estimate to a quotation?
If the estimate raises a question — a tariff line you are unsure of, origin documentation you may not qualify for, or a market where a levy applies to your commodity — that is what our team is for. Send the quote form with your HS code and packing list and we will confirm the position rather than approximate it.

Is import duty calculated on the goods value or on freight too?
Most markets we cover assess duty on the CIF value — the goods, the international freight and the insurance — not on the goods alone. That is why the calculator asks for all three and shows the customs value it used.
Why do I have to enter the duty rate myself?
Because duty is assessed line by line against the destination tariff, and the rate depends on the HS code of the actual product. Where a market or a free-trade agreement publishes a single rate we pre-fill it, and where duty varies by line we show the verified range and ask for the rate that applies to your goods.
Does a free-trade agreement certificate remove the tax as well as the duty?
No. A certificate of origin such as a Form E under ACFTA or a Form F under the China–Chile agreement reduces or removes customs duty. Import VAT, GST, IGV, IVA, sales tax and country-specific levies still apply, and they are usually calculated on the duty-inclusive value.
Is the landed cost figure a quotation?
No. It is an estimate of the statutory import charges. It excludes clearance and documentation fees, certification costs, storage, inland delivery and any anti-dumping or trade-remedy duty, all of which are named on the result panel and confirmed when we quote.
