What does this cover?
The plan is built around dimensions, weight, lifting, securing, loading, route and delivery constraints. Project cargo is reviewed by the operations and project team before any commitment, and complex jobs are quoted line by line under a dedicated contract.
Who is this for?
- Construction materials, steel, fittings and project procurement
- Machinery, equipment and production lines
- Vehicles and rolling equipment
- Oversized, overweight or irregular cargo
- Shipments that must be delivered in stages to a site
What is included in the service?
- Technical review of dimensions, weights and packing
- Loading, securing and lifting plan
- Route and permit review
- Coordination across several transport and destination resources
- Staged delivery planning and milestone reporting
What do you need from us to quote?
- Complete dimensions, weights and centre of gravity for each piece
- Packing method and whether the cargo can be stacked
- Photographs or drawings of the cargo and the lifting points
- Loading and unloading site conditions, including access and equipment
- Required delivery sequence and any site deadlines
- Whether permits or escorts are needed along the route
Who is responsible for what?
| Scope | Company | Customer | Responsibility transfers |
|---|---|---|---|
| Door to door |
|
| Responsibility passes on delivery and signature at the agreed destination address. |
What does the quotation cover?
The quotation states the total for the scope described in it. It is built from the cargo data, the origin and destination, the transport mode and the delivery scope agreed at that time.
What is included?
- The technical review, planning and coordination named in the quotation
- The transport, loading and securing scope agreed
- Milestone reporting for the agreed stages
What is not included?
- Permits, escorts and route surveys unless quoted
- Site preparation, civil works or unloading equipment at destination
- Storage or demurrage caused by site readiness
- Charges arising from dimensions or weights that differ from the declared data
What might cost extra?
- Remote or difficult-access delivery beyond the standard service area
- Customs inspection, holds or revaluation at either end
- Storage where cargo cannot be dispatched inside the agreed free period
- Detention and demurrage when a container or vehicle is held beyond free time
- Oversized, overweight or special loading equipment
- Cargo that arrives without the documents required for the confirmed route
- Special cargo approved after review but requiring extra handling or documentation
- Address change, re-delivery or a failed delivery appointment after dispatch
- Peak-season or fuel surcharges applied by the carrier
- Duty or tax reassessment where customs does not accept the declared value
Freight rates and space change with the market, so each quotation carries its own validity period. Once it expires, or if the rate or space changes before booking, the price is reconfirmed before dispatch.
Cargo is weighed and measured after it reaches the warehouse. If the piece count, weight, volume, packing, cargo attributes or delivery address differ from the original inquiry, the charge is recalculated and sent to you for confirmation before payment and dispatch.
How long does each stage take?
Transit is counted from the stated start point to the stated end point for each stage. Carrier schedules, port and customs conditions, and the destination delivery arrangement all affect the outcome.
- Technical review and planning: 1–3 days (calculated from Receipt of dimensions, weights and technical documents to Loading, securing and route plan agreed)
- Pickup and loading: 2–5 days (calculated from Loading plan agreed to Cargo loaded and secured, documents issued)
- Main transport: 25–45 days by sea, or per shipment by road and rail (calculated from Departure from the loading point to Arrival at the destination port, border or site)
- Clearance and delivery to site: 3–7 days (calculated from Arrival at the destination to Delivered, positioned and handed over)
Estimated total: An estimated total is issued with the quotation, expressed as a range with the calculation start and end points stated. It is an estimate, not a guaranteed arrival date.

What does the shipment record show?
Photographs and loading footage from our own warehouse and shipments — the same operation your cargo moves through.

What must be confirmed before booking?
- Every shipment requires technical review before a quotation is issued
- Site access, lifting capability and special permits are confirmed separately
- Destination site conditions may require a survey before commitment
- Some cargo requires a dedicated contract with staged or milestone payment
What mistakes should we avoid?
- Supplying approximate dimensions that later change the loading plan
- Assuming the destination site can unload without confirming equipment
- Leaving permit or escort requirements until the cargo is already moving
- Treating project cargo as a normal shipment priced per cubic metre
